Objectives

DESTEX, a strategic partnership that seeks to bring Innovation in the Industrial and Creative Design in Advanced Textile Manufacturing, consists of a consortium of 8 partners from 5 European countries aiming to bring together the main stakeholders of the textile sector in order to foster the uptake of design methodologies. Such action will lead to unlocking the innovation potential in textile manufacturing sector via project based learning and cooperation, contributing to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of EU textile small and medium enterprises.

Europe requires reassessing its position on critical factors affecting its competitiveness like uniqueness of its products, skills of its workforce and innovation as a means of competitive advantage. Therefore the main goal of DESTEX is to develop the tools necessary for skills enhancement,  targeted to higher education in relation to innovation.

The project will provide 4 Intellectual Outputs and one intensive training program in order to materialize the project objectives and ensure the outreach of the project results even after its end.
